Taekwon-Do is a Korean martial art and an effective weaponless system of self defence. Tae = means to jump, kick or smash with the foot. Kwon = means to punch or destroy with the hand or fist. Do = means art, way or method. In short Taekwon-Do means Foot, Hand, Way.
Taekwon-Do is the technique of unarmed self defence involving the skilled application of techniques that include punches, strikes, kicks, blocks, dodges and interceptions with the bare hands, arms, legs and feet to overpower an opponent.

Taekwon-Do training includes a comprehensive system of practical self defence, aerobic fitness, flexibility training and strength conditioning.

Taekwon-Do instills in those that study it thoroughly, the tenets of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control and indomitable spirit.
