Meet Sabum Greg Santos

Sabum Greg commenced his Taekwon-Do training, at the age of 8, in February 1985 within Rhee International Taekwon-Do under Master Graham Moulden, who was at that stage a 2nd Dan Black Belt and Regional Instructor for Wide Bay and Central Queensland.

In 1990 due to schooling commitments, Sabum Greg was unable to continue his training. However, in 1995 Sabum Greg returned to his training and was promoted to 1st Dan in March 1996. In 1998, due to other commitments he ceased training until 2003.

​

For the next four years Sabum Greg dedicated himself to his training and in 2007 he completed the Assistant Instructor course and was appointed as the Assistant Instructor at the Bargara branch. In June 2007, Sabum Greg was promoted to 2nd Dan by Master Graham Moulden, who at that time was a 5th Dan International Instructor and was promoted to Branch Instructor at the Bargara branch.

Sabum Greg was promoted to 3rd Dan in December 2009 and after taking on additional responsibilities and further developing his management skills, he was promoted to Senior Branch Instructor in August 2011.

​

In December 2010, Sabum Greg won a gold medal for power breaking at the Australian National Championships in Brisbane.

​

In April 2013 Sabum Greg travelled to the Sunshine Coast to be examined by Master Graham Moulden and was promoted to 4th Dan International Instructor. Sabum Greg had previously completed the International Instructor Course in October 2012 under Master Robert Lai and therefore was recognised by the International Taekwon-Do Federation as an International Instructor.

In December 2017 Sabum Greg was examined by his first instructor, Master Graham Moulden, and was promoted to 5th Dan.

​

In October 2018 Sabum Greg was appointed as the Instructor in Charge of the Avoca branch, where he continues to share his Taekwon-Do knowledge with the students of the International Taekwon-Do Federation South East Queensland (ITF SEQ).

​

Sabum Greg operates his own excavation business: Santos Bobcat and Truck Hire.

Meet Sabum Garth Ovenden

Sabum Garth commenced his Taekwon-Do training in September 1984 with Rhee Taekwon-Do as a private student of Master Graham Moulden, who at that time was a 1st Dan Instructor.

​

Due to work commitments interrupting his training, Sabum Garth was promoted to 1st Dan in September 1994,

​

In September 1998, Sabum Garth was promoted to 2nd Dan and in April 2010 he was appointed as an Instructor and continued to teach across a number of Branches in Bundaberg.

​

In March 2012, Sabum Garth was promoted to 3rd Dan and in April 2013 he was appointed as a Senior Branch Instructor at the Childers Branch.

​

In October 2015, Sabum Garth was promoted to 4th Dan and qualified as an International Instructor.

​

Sabum Garth is an Level B Umpire and continues to share his Taekwon-Do knowledge with the students of the International Taekwon-Do Federation South East Queensland.

​

Outside Taekwon-do, Sabum Garth owns and operates the Hideaway Haven Bed and Breakfast, which is located just outside Bundaberg.

Meet Boosabum Karla Garrard

Boosabum Karla Garrard commenced her Taekwon-Do training in March 2011 with Queensland Self-Defence and Taekwon-Do Association.

​

In March 2014, Boosabum Karla was promoted to 1st Dan, completed the six month Assistant Instructor course in April 2014 and was appointed as Assistant Instructor at the Kepnock branch.

​

In March 2016 Boosabum Karla was promoted to 2nd Dan.

​

Boosabum Karla is a Certified Practicing Accountant for a Bundaberg firm working closely with many local business owners. She has lived in Bundaberg since 2008, loving the community and lifestyle the region has to offer.

Boosabum Karla continues to shar her Taekwon-Do knowledge with the Avenell Heights branch students of the International Taekwon-Do Federation South East Queensland
