Meet Boosabum Karen Scutts

Boosabum Karen commenced her Taekwon-Do training in August 1997 in Bundaberg with Queensland Self Defence and Taekwon-Do Academy.

​

In 1999 Boosabum Karen, due to other commitments, was unable to continue her training. However, in 2009 she returned to training and was promoted to 1st Dan in November 2010.

​

Boosabum Karen completed the six month Assistant Instructor course in May 2011 and was appointed to the Kepnock Branch as an Assistant Instructor.

​

In November 2012, Boosabum Karen was promoted to 2nd Dan Black Belt and in June 2013, after taking on additional responsibilities and further developing her management skills, Boosabum Karen was promoted to Instructor. After taking on additional responsibilities Boosabum Karen was promoted to Kepnock Branch Instructor in August 2015.

In November 2016, she was promoted to 3rd Dan Black Belt and in March 2018 Boosabum Karen was promoted to Senior Branch Instructor at the Kepnock Branch.

​

Boosabum Karen holds a Diploma in Children's Services, current First Aid and CPR. 

​

Boosabum Karen has enjoyed many achievements through out her Taekwon-Do career including winning gold at the Oceanic Titles in Brisbane in June 2012, then moving on to win Gold, Silver and Bronze in various events at the State Championships in Bundaberg later in 2012. She has also participated in many community events, demonstrations, workshops and seminars.

Boosabum Karen continues to share her Taekwon-Do knowledge and leads a team of dedicated instructors as the Senior Branch Instructor at the Kepnock branch of the International Taekwon-Do Federation South East Queensland.

Meet Boosabum Brendan Clancy

Boosabum Brendan commenced his Taekwon-Do training in February 2011 in Bundaberg with the Queensland Self Defence and Taekwon-Do Academy.

​

In November 2013 Boosabum Brendan was promoted to 1st Dan Black Belt and completed the six month Assistant Instructor course in March 2014 and was appointed as the Assistant Instructor to the Kepnock branch.

​

In November 2015, Boosabum Brendan was promoted to 2nd Dan Black Belt and in March 2016, after taking on additional responsibilities and completing the National Instructors Course with Master Graham Moulden, Boosabum Brendan was promoted to Instructor at the Kepnock branch.

Outside of Taekwon-Do, Boosabum Brendan is the Delivery and Operations Manager for the Department of Transport and Main Roads in Bundaberg, has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology and is a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland.

​

Boosabum Brendan continues to share his Taekwon-Do knowledge with the students of the International Taekwon-Do Federation South East Queensland.
